GHANAIAN UNIVERSITIES REVEAL THAT THERE WILL BE NO ENTRANCE EXAMS.

After remarks by the Minister of Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, about the current state of the educational sector in the country and the future of current S.H.S 3 students, the heads of the various universities had a series of meetings to discuss how best the problem can be solved.

According to a letter dated 7th April, 2020 from the office of the registrar of K.N.U.S.T, the university has revealed that it is going to be impossible for students to write an entrance exam especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. They revealed they will not be able to follow the social distancing directives ordered by the President of the nation if they decide to conduct the examination.

They however revealed that they considered using the current continuous assessment but noticed that it would not be fair since it will not reveal the actual strengths of the students.

They have therefore appealed with the exams council to organize the WASSCE in September of 2020 and they'll admit freshers in January of 2021.
